#17_18 JULIA DENGG, ZVIAD RATIANI

It is never easy to talk about your own poetry, especially when you work in a language which is so small but so old: only 3.5 million people speak Georgian in the world, but the most ancient Georgian poems survived till our times were written 15 centuries ago. Plus, the alphabet is unique, one of fourteen alphabets existing in the world. Small language, huge traditions. There are so many types of poetry, and I guess I always try to merge the different models of poetry into my language, the ones that have never or rarely been used in tradition of Georgian poetry.
