Folge vom Di., 20.05.2025

„We don’t fit into one box. There’re so many identities we all have. Every human being is intersectional. “ - In this English-speaking episode of “changing perspectives” we talk to Shani Dhanda, UK’s most influential disability activist.

Shani is a speaker, event manager, radio host and broadcaster. She wrote the children book “No Horn Unicorn” and founded the UK’s first Asian Woman Festival. With her expertise she has helped over 300 businesses and global brands like Apple, BBC or Google to embrace inclusion and accessibility. Yet, the beginning of her own career path was a challenging one.

How many applications did it take to find her first job? And what does it take to change the stereotypes around disability, gender or South Asian cultures?
