THE AUTOPSY ROOM AS AN ART SPACE / THE SCULTOR BARTOSZ BANASIK
THE AUTOPSY ROOM AS AN ART SPACE
Harald Koeck invites students at the Medical University Wroclaw to be a part of a performance - whether to act or make documentations like videos or photos.
The environment is the “autopsy room” of the Department of Forensic. The performance on the wrapped skeletons with colourprigments and shrouds will reconstruct the theatrum anatomicum in the early days of autopsies like Pieter Paaw´s „theatrum anatomicum (1597)”. The students try to make a performance of paintings, graphics, palpations, prints. There is a close relationship between medicine and art. They transforms the colours inside the human body on shrouds and we will create a rainbow garden of forensic and pathological investigation.
THE SCULTOR BARTOSZ BANASIK
The theme of his work are people, their diversity, emotions, and challenges they face every day. The author tries to explore the elusive, unnamed aspects of human nature and psyche and to present them through the art.
Bartosz Banasik implements art projects, plain-airs and art exhibitions, cooperates with art galleries and participates in art competitions and engages in community projects, philanthropy, and artistic events.
