Parallelwelten

Para//elwelten (Parallel Worlds) is a TV series produced by Harald Koeck for the Viennese community TV station Okto. It explores the boundaries and intersections of art, science, and culture through films. Various vibrant sequences attempt to cinematically address parallel worlds (art, science, culture, medicine, psychology, sociology, etc.). The ambition is to focus on engaging multiple senses (experiential quality and perceptual intensity).

Die Installation ”sarco phagus II” zeigt den Begriff des individuellen Todes als Kunstwerk. In einer Videodokumentation werden die einzelnen Stationen des Werkes sichtbarer. Die fertige Form ist Resultat der Transformationsvorgänge vom Einheitssarg zum Kunstobjekt “sarco pahgus II“. Das Video selber ist ein Dokumentationsvorgang. Die Filmsequenzen dienen dazu, um die Prozesse lebendig zu halten. Part 2: A contribution from Harald Koeck to the exhibition "exitus.tod alltäglich" at the K-Haus Vienna in 2007. The installation "sarco phagus II" explores the concept of individual death as a work of art. A video documentation makes the individual stages of the work more visible. The finished form is the result of the transformation processes from a standard coffin to the art object "sarco phagus II." The video itself is a documentation process. The film sequences serve to keep the processes vivid.
